کودکان دبستانی

درمیان آوارها

کوله هایشان غرق به خون گشت

تا غم انگیزترین رویداد تاریخ باشند

گرچه نیستند

اما کتابهایشان

هنوزبا وزش باد ورق میخورند

قلم هایشان

گرچه بر زمین افتاد

اما هنوز جوهرشان جاریست

برقلبها و اندیشه های جهانی

The schoolchildren,

amid the rubble,

their backpacks soaked in blood,

became the most sorrowful chapter historyr

Though they are gone

their books

still flutter in the wind

turning page by page

Their pens

though fallen to the ground

still let their ink flow

across hearts

and the conscience of the world
